Michelle and I have good news to share. We believe the Lord has given us a strategy to see spiritual awakening across Canada. It involves strategic prayer with houses of prayer across the nation, equipping and mobilising believers into prayer, prophetic, power and strategic evangelism and regional awakening events with signs and wonders following.

As associate ministers of Revival Canada Christian Ministries we are working alongside Charlie Robinson and his son Samuel. Both of them have previously worked with Patricia King www.xpmedia.com and Todd Bentley www.freshfireusa.com. They are both Canadian Revivalists who live in the glory and miracle power of God www.voiceofrevival.ca.

I would like to share with you a little of our history to share how our strategic plan is working to see an Awakening come to Canada.

In 1994 I was invited by Mike Bickle www.ihop.org to be an intern at his church in Kansas City. The church had over several thousand people, 3 prayer meetings a day and was doing over 10,000 acts of kindness a year. However, they still only saw 12 converts in a year.

The Church believed at that time that the harvest of souls would come in through prayer for revival and servant evangelism. Mike Bickle thought I might be able to help them with this challenge.

After waiting on God I felt the Lord had given me a strategy. It involved strategic focused prayer and evangelism strategies that communicated the gospel in a relevant way. The plan was to target being part of local community events like the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Harry’s Hay Day’s fair as well as to present the gospel through music, drama and short explanations of the gospel inside the mall and Wal-Mart and outdoors in the local parks.

The key was to pray specifically into the targets, specific strategy, locations and dates. We put the evangelism targets on the chalkboard in the prayer room and prayed specifically into getting permission to be part of these events as well as for the release of the Holy Spirit in convicting saving power as we shared the gospel.

With a small team we saw the Lord do the impossible. We were granted permission to present the gospel with our sound system inside Wal-Mart, the malls and parks. We reached out to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the local summer fair ‘Harry Hay Days’ using the strategies he gave us. We began seeing people come to Christ. At our Harry Hay Day’s outreach we saw 86 people come to Jesus and about 25 of them joined our local church afterward. We began entering into a season of breakthrough.

My vision then was to see people give half of their available time to prayer and the other half to outreach. 15 years later I learnt that the International House of Prayer in Kansas City had continued with the same strategy we started and have now seen over 1600 baptism’s since then. The fore-runner evangelism department had the same idea calling it the 20/20 vision meaning their full time house of prayer staff spent 20 hours a week praying and 20 hours a week doing various evangelistic outreaches. The largest and most successful outreaches today in Kansas City are still the same ones we started years ago. Praise the Lord for lasting fruit.

Why Are Houses of Prayer so Strategic?

1. God said, "My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations." Isaiah 56:7
2. It is the restoration of David’s Fallen tent which had 24/7 worship and prayer ministering before the Lord continually (Amos 9:11, Acts 15:16).
3. When Congregations and saints within a city or region pray and do evangelism in unity it releases God’s Commanded Blessing Psalm 133.
4. They can provide a prayer network that can release the Kingdom of God over the whole nation at the same time.
5. Praying with those who pray in the power of agreement moves God’s heart and hand.

Dick Eastman, who is the International President of Every Home for Christ www.ehc.org, testified at the ‘One Thing Conference’ in Kansas City in 2009 about his missionary organisation success before and after starting a house of prayer in Colorado Springs that strategically prayed into their mission.

Dick Eastman said, "For the 5 years before embracing the intercessory worship (the harp and bowl) model their 4,000 member staff and 25,000 monthly volunteers visited 88,700,000 households door to door sharing the gospel and saw 4,300,000 decisions for Christ. The following 5 years since starting this house of prayer they visited 264,000,000 households and had 39,380,000 decisions for Christ. This is more than 9 times the fruit.  At the Call 2 All, the major global missions and prayer movement leaders came together and agreed to joining forces to complete the Great Commission. Focused prayer toward their mission endeavours would get the job done. In other words prayer plus evangelism is the key www.Call2all.com.

There is a global awakening and revelation that to reach the nations for Christ the most strategic things we can do is to focus on 50% of our time on strategic targeted prayer in agreement and 50% on empowered targeted outreach.

My strategy with Revival Canada Christian Ministries is to build a network of prayer primarily with houses of prayer and personal partners across Canada that we are in relationship with.

Every week I will be praying at one or more houses of prayer or ministries. Followed by equipping and doing outreach in the afternoons or evenings. The goal is to do 20 hours of prayer and 20 hours of outreach per week. I believe this is to be my lifestyle. Now not everyone can give 40 hours a week to this type of ministry, but if everyone could spend as little as 1.5 hours a week in prayer and 1.5 hours a week in outreach we would soon all be on fire and see a Great Awakening.

We are also strategically planning to have Regional Awakening Events. With the various houses of prayer across the nation strategically praying into these events to see revival and people getting saved, healed and delivered. All our events will include Worship and Prayer in the mornings, Equipping in Power and Prophetic Evangelism and Outreach in the afternoons and Revival Services at night all with signs and wonders following.

In 2004 I co-ordinated a city-wide event called Toronto Ablaze for Charlie Robinson and Todd Bentley, where 11 churches came together along with hungry saints whom travelled to participate in the event. Which gave us a group of about 300. In five days of outreach we saw over 600 people pray to accept Jesus mainly because they were physically healed or through prophetic evangelism on the streets. In the evening revival meeting we also saw many decisions for Christ and miracles. I believe God is going to bring awakening to Canada as we build up the 24/7 house of prayer movement as well as the local and city-wide church. Strategically Praying, Equipping and mobilising the saints into power evangelism on a weekly basis and gathering the Hungry Re-enforcement’s from around the country to be part of our larger city-wide or regional events. We will see Awakening.
